Bette's Dinner

When Lizzy was visiting I took her to Bette's Diner on 4th Street in Berkeley. The area slightly resembles Fashion Island (the crowd and stores, not lay-out) - the kind of place you want to shop Sunday Morning. There were a handful of clothing shops and restaurants. Yelp gave Bette's Diner a rave review and we decided to try it. There was a bit of a wait. We ended up being placed at the counter right in front of the cooks. I was so amazed by the speediness of the line chefs and got such a kick out of watching them do their thing. Most of all I couldn't believe how fast they cranked food out with such accuracy. I had poached eggs and pancakes and Lizzy had a hot dog - quite the typical diner cuisine. It was the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday Morning. After brunch we shopped at Paper Source and Anthropologie.
