{the photo students each shot a letter and Rio, the instructor, made this image and printed it on shirts for all of them}
Camp Kindle was everything I could have asked for and more. The campers were delightful and so fun! I had the 13 year old girls' cabin and they were energetic and crazy but so sweet! Camp is for children infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS - they are all so inspiring. The week was packed with activities - every day we had health education, character education, Speak Out {to work on telling their stories}, Project time {they had photo, fashion, sign language, scrapbooking, among others}, Cabin Rotations {archery, mining, water slide, the zipline, arts & crafts} and then every night was a different evening program. We had a carnival {prizes, facepainting and snow cones!}, olympics {boys vs. girls!}, movie night, lipsync/dance and then a scarf ceremony {with a wish ceremony}. Oh, and the food was DELICIOUS!!! The chefs gave us a Camp Kindle Cookbook and it is one of my most prized possessions!!
