Happiness

Last night Alyse, Oona and I went to the Champs-Elysees to walk down it because Oona had never been. The weather was perfect (not like the typically freezing Parisian nights) and the street wasn't too crowded. I'm always amazed at how happening it is late at night and feel so in love with Paris walking along it. We stopped at Haagen-Dazs for some ice cream. We asked the ice cream server for a few samples and delighted to discover a sample in France is not the same in America. They gave us half cups of each sample we wanted!! I settled with Dulce De Leche and mmmmmm it was perfection!! After our adventure on Champs-Elysees we caught the metro and headed to the Eiffel Tower to meet up with some other kids in our program. We had a wonderful little outing with wine, champagne and prince cookies. Sitting on the grass watching the Eiffel Tower twinkle every hour is such a great way to spend a night. We nearly missed the last metro and had to sprint to catch the last metro. Talk about a good workout!!
